Daniel Amos Biography
1977
To become effective ministers of the gospel of
Jesus Christ is the heart-felt desire of Daniel Amos.
What began as four Christian brothers coming
together to minister in song is now a “family” of six.
Relationships within the group have taken on greater
depths of love and understanding through the various
trials and general growing pains the Lord has allowed.
Proverbs 3:5, 6 best expresses their desire to be totally
committed to Jesus regardless of the nature of the
circumstances that surround them.
Named after two Old Testament prophets, Daniel Amos
includes Jerry Chamberlain, Terry Taylor, Marty
Dieckmeyer, Ed McTaggert, Mark Cook and Dennis Baxter.
The group’s musical style ranges from country to rock,
light jazz to western.
