I guess... like they wanted to seperate them from the rest

The Eddies were in very rare form that night, the songs were

Incredible show, Daniel Amos set was pretty long and Randy's

The Eddies set was great...the dress Berger had on, I mean
wow, simply ravishing.... can you say Sandi Patti?
The encore of covers was great with Randy joining them on stage
..."We Gotta Get out Of This Place" seemed extremely fitting since
we were in some sort of 110 degree metal bunker for the last
few hours. ...........It was HOT! zibbidy bap boom blah, pow
pow pow.... |
I wish I would have gone to Cornerstone '90!

my one and only time to see DA/Swirlies...'90 Cornerstone and we drove 3000miles round trip just to be in their presence.

We actually tried to resurrect them for "Instruction" but they didn't pass the censors. We'll keep trying to figure out something..

Without a doubt (and I may have answered this already) The Amos & Randy Show, Bethel College, St. Paul Minnesota April 11, 1980. The funny thing was I had already heard The Horrendous Disc Radio Show(almost two years prior to this show), and was ready for a lot of the songs. They played Endless Summer and Cinema Girl and I couldn't wait for HD to come out, which it did two months later (and no Cinema Girl) and then what, a month after that Alarma (which had Endless Summer) Boy what a year that was......

Wheaton College, Doppelganger Tour.
They played three songs from VH, including Dance Stop. Wheaton has this "no dancing" part of "The Pledge". Terry openly encouraged the kids to dance anyway, which almost got them kicked off without getting their money.
You just gotta love these guys!

C'stone '88 was the late-night stage where they opened with "Money (That's What I Want)", and from there on out peppered their usual set (focusing on tunes from "Darn Floor") with a number of covers, including, but not limited to:

A Taste Of Honey (the Herb Alpert/Tijuana Brass arrangement, during the "I Didn't Build It For Me" break)

I think that was the same year Charlie Peacock played two shows (one on the mainstage, and one on the late-night stage with Vector), and kicked off his late set with a groovy rendition of Talking Heads' "Cities" in homage to his soon-coming transition from Sacramento to Gnash-ville.

I've always regretted that I never got to see DA live during the Doppelganger/Vox Humana years with the multimedia show. I did see them at C'stone '84 (the inaugural fest), but they played the oudoor mainstage in broad daylight, which was an extremely limiting format for them.

I can only imagine the song licensing would be prohibitively expensive. But it's a nice thought, and maybe the pressing run would even be low enough to arrange all that through the legendary Harry Fox Agency.

Whats on ITF is all that exists as far as I know. Dave Perry just did that little walk out thing during "Darn Floor" and then returned back stage. The tape then cuts and comes back to the audience band thing.
