How many of you read the reviews of albums at www.allmusic.com ? I read them a lot. I'm concerned about a couple of their reviews of DA, especially the one of MBD. What do you think?

Those guys are nothing but a bunch of bozo's! Buechner has to be one of the best. Artwork, tunes, etc.

Their details on Zoom Daddy. They have the lead singer as Terry Norman Taylor! No Scott to be found!

Yeah, right.

Hmm.. that's odd. That's their old "Mr Buechners" review. It had been replaced with a more positive review, written by a DA fan, quite a while ago. I wonder why they switched it back?

You're right there was another review listed previously that I believe gave MBD 4 stars(?). For years they had DFBB as 2 stars. I know because I have some of the books. They used to only print books, then there was a CD-Rom, and for the past few years there has been the website. As the number of artists have grown, they've started using more and more reviewers. In the past there was a limited number of reviewers. On mainstream albums they are often not too far off on reviews, but they have had many errors especially on their CCM or CCM related genres. For instance, they had Scaterd Few's album incorrectly listed as Skin Disease. I e-mailed them about that error months ago and I think they finally corrected it.

This Dave Sleger - would he, by any chance, be from Dallas?
(Sorry about that backslah. I've tried to delete it but the DAMB board keeps putting it back in!

Kalhoun used to be listed as a 5 star record. Now it only has 3 stars and the reviewer and review are different than when it was listed as a 5 star. You'd think they'd at least get someone with some knowledge doing these reviews. I'm scared to look at how they rated C*rm*n for fear that all his albums are 5 stars.

I actually did check, and they're really pretty brutal to a few of his albums. It made my day.
