I actually play guitar; and I oughtta join/start a band one day. I only know about ten songs; but I can play them pretty well, since they are the only songs that I practice. :-) I can list the ten songs if you want (OK, then I won't list them if yer gonna be that way about it). I know I could play more songs if I took the time to try and learn them.

There's about another ten songs, which are chord progressions that I've made up myself, that I try noodling around for basslines for, in case I ever decide to invest in a 4-track.

The bass lines I come up with on the top E string of my guitar are usually between the root and the previous seventh, just to keep it bouncy. Obviously I need to work on my creativity. But I alwasy think about what a really cool bass line for the songs would sound like.

One guitar song I wrote, though, is actually like all notes on the top three strings, and would sound great as a bass line, where someone's jamming out on the guitar over it.

i get off work in about 20mins..so i have to go now. i really appreciate you taking time from your busy schedule to stop by and chat with us.

it's great to know an artist actually cares enough to do stuff like that. certain other boards i post on, artists will leave the first time someone tries to communicate with them. anyway....
