Does anybody know if the podcast that shows up when you search for daniel amos on i-tunes is the real DA? It's called "Random Acts", but when I subscribe to it, I can't get it to do anything....so I'm not sure what it is. Anyone know???

Thread: Lost Dogs concert reports |
|
I went to the one last night in Clayton, IN, and it was GREAT! They did a good mix of old and new stuff and had a lot of fun up there on stage. When they said good night, I looked at my watch and couldn't believe an hour and a half had past. Then they came back out and did some more. This was the first time I had seen all 3 of the Dogs together, and it was pretty incredible what Steve Hindalong can do with a small assortment of percussion pieces.
I would have to say that this was probably the best concert I've ever been to. If you're near one of these upcoming shows, I would highly recommend that you go. The only downside was that I live in Ohio and Indiana is 1 hour behind Ohio time and the show ended about 1115 Ohio time and then I had to drive home a little over 2 hours, but it was well worth it.
Thanks to the Lost Dogs and to the people who own the barn for a really wonderful night.

Thread: The Passion Of The Christ |
|
My wife and I saw the movie last night, and the thing that kept going through my mind was that He did this for me! I've been in church all my life, so going in to the movie I was thinking, I know this story, I won't be very surprised. On one hand I was right. I wasn't surprised. I was , however, absolutley stunned. The film didn't even do it justice, as horrible and realistic as it was. And the fact that He did it willingly and never once complained is so amazing. I think the movie is a wonderful telling of the death of Jesus, I just wish that it would have gone farther into the resurrection because that's the best part for me as a Christian.
I think that a lot of the criticism of the film is based on this: when Jesus is portrayed accurately, whether in His death, His life or even His birth, unbelievers get offended because it's a lot harder to defend their ways in light of the Truth. And when it is presented in such a powerful and moving way as it is in The Passion, (not to mention by one of their "own" megastars) it shakes them to the core. That's just my opinion.

Where was this? Was it only live? I don't think I've ever heard it. I can only imagine that it would be cool though.

Thread: All Day Sing & Dinner on the Ground |

That's good to know. Thanks. I think I may have read that before but had forgotten it, I'd much rather buy it here than at ebay if I can't make it to a BBQ.

Does anyone happen to have an extra one of these that they'd be willing to sell? I keep hoping that I'll be able to get to one of the BBQ's, but so far, none have been workable. If anyone has an extra CD that would be great. If not, I guess I'll just have to wait and see if any show up on ebay. Thanks

How about....
The old time gospel camp meeting worship hour or Worship at the edge of nowhere (or Ruckus at the edge of worship)

Maybe to make their stuff sell like crazy...they should add the word Worship to the title like everyone else does these days.
