Son Of A Son Of A Sailor.
I'm not really into Jimmy Buffet. A cover of a cover just reminded me of this.

I would pay $100 to see a video of Dr. Rich singing Attack of the Pulpit Masters at a Christian Book Store wearing his lime-green Ozzy shirt!

First off, this post is to throw the thread back to the top.
Second, I like the Kalhoun parody cover for DAmb It! a lot. It's pretty sweet. Still, if there's any need for more art and stuff, consider me. In fact, I was toying with an Alarma Chronicles-like idea (that seriously is not at all serious)but may prove to be too much for such a fun, small project as this. Still, if the call goes out, I will answer it!
Finally, even though we're all liable to make prize asses of ourselves with this (and what's so bad about THAT?) I think we should send a copy of this out to Orange County, if only to prove to the boys that they needn't fear competition anytime soon.
We kid 'cuz we love.

Why I Chose a Title Track |
|
Don't think I haven't noticed.......all of you picking cool obscure tracks and "B" sides..........while my pick stands out like a sore.......-thumb
Well fact o' th' matter is even though Bibleland IS a title track it IS ALSO kind of an obscure track wouldn't you agree? Please, let me belabor the point a little further, oh please let me? No, really, with your permission I'd like too? What?! WELL!! SAME TO YOU!!!
(The preceding has been a dysfunctional, codependant rant provided by ™ and IS NOT a paid political announcement)

I figured since I was keeping track of all this and putting it together, I'd go ahead with doing the art work cuz I don't know if I'll get a song done or not. I have a mixer on my computer but don't play any instruments and can't sing.
I'm pretty far along with most of the artwork....of course track listing and some minor adjustments here and there still have to be done. I may send it to you to look over and add any suggestions (not that I'd take them well
) before I get it printed. It's easy to miss things when you've looked at something too long.
I do like what Dr Rich sent in! He is the dude on the cover! I'm working on a clip right now!

I like Bibleland and would love to see it on The Damb Fan Disc!
|
It's sooo appropriate as I'm working in "a Christian bookstore in bibleland" right now.
AND I'm gonna tip my hand a little here by mentioning that at the end of Bibleland I go into the old classic "Barbara Ann" only with the Bibleland lyrics! It's hilarious (I hope) in a 'laugh-with-me' (not at me) kinda way-
