If you need tracks that may have slipped out, I could help, though I doubt I have anything you don't already. I've got the Stunt reissues of Alarma and Doppelganger with the extra tracks, the Shirley Goodness / No History set, Miracle Faith Telethon and other things that have trickled out over the years. Again, I'm sure you guys are already well stocked on tracks, but the offer is out there for what it takes to get this together.

Yeah people can email us and let us know what they have, if we don't have access to that material maybe we can use it. If anyone like BigDork has printing ideas or anything like that send us a note, we will gather up all the info we have and bug Terry with it.
We could basically do very low budget bootleg series of some of the stuff, at a low price, try to get Terry to work towards a backroom tracks type of semi-bootleg series with a slight budget and then use this stuff to fund actual releases.
The intent with the backroom tracks idea was to get major fan involvement,
that would be key to its success.
You guys got ideas and things, email em, we will collect them all together.
I do know if anyone starts bootlegging the HodgePodge or Neverhood type stuff they can get themselves in more trouble since technically its owned by Dreamworks/TenNapel. Personally I wouldn't mess with that stuff. Some of these companies are less forgiving than Terry would be.

speaking of loose ends ...
On Bob and Tom's great moments in Olympic History they said one of the little-known events that was discontinued was where one team tried to knock a puck into the rear end of the opposing team's goalie.
The event?
"burro Hockey"
... back to the regular program

Kind of what I alluded to before, the Loose Ends Bootlegs should be simple and cost-effective to produce. Yet, there should also be something that connects them together as a whole for later. This is where the "45 rpm singles" design comes in.
EMI did up these box sets where each disc was a mini version of the vinyl singles release. Then they packed them in a sort-of box. It was pretty neat. I prefer the carrier box that singles used to be stored in in the 60s and 70s; The Smashing Pumpkins mimicked this with their "The Aeroplane Flies High" box set. But the actual box is an afterthought. The individual releases should be a cohesive unit, even if each is sold separately.
Finally, there has to be a way of grouping each release: live tracks from the 70s, live tracks from the 80s, studio tracks from various timeframes.
These are just thoughts, but I think any way this shakes out, two things get accomplished. First, it shuts down booters on EBay and second, it gets some nice new income in from pre-existing material.

Cool. We will be trying to formulate some stuff together to send Terry and see what his thoughts are. We need to also get the Back Yard BBQ disc in print again, the Dogs want to record and it might help bring in some funds.
It could be while he is busy with catscratch maybe we could collectively put together a bootleg series to bring in funds for them. The timing might be good for that.

Things have progressed quite a bit since then, looks like...
- "Bootlegs"... a few showed up on Hodgepodge... others will undoubtedly be showing up on "Swine Before Pearl" CDs. That is what became of the "back room trax" series that was mentioned in this thread. Terry's really into it right now and I think we'll be seeing some more.
-Downloads.. a lot of stuff is showing up on iTunes and other sites right now. We experimented with a service that allowed us to put downloads up directly from the DA site, but it didn't work very well. We had to manually send some people their downloads because of it. We're looking into others options.
- "Nowhere is Someplace".. stay tuned. There is a plan to make it available on CD. It has always been available on the DVD of course.
- Reissues.. obviously Catscratch fell apart and things are a little rougher financially now than they were at that time. We did recently sign a deal with a company to do some deluxe reissues. The first two are being finalized right now... reels are being restored and transfered to digital... the artwork is being finalized. Tom is digging through and cleaning up boxes of old unpublished photos and slides - some of them are really cool... we're tryin to track down some other reels and tapes that we know are out there somewhere. Theres definitely some cool stuff coming pretty soon and its backed by a label. I believe it'll also be destributed into major Christian bookstores in a way we haven't seen in a while.

This is all really great news. Now if I could just convince someone to pay off all my debt then I could order a bunch of things. I am really looking forward to the possibility of stuff in stores as I always get gift cards from well meaning perishioners for the local Christian bookstore, but because of my unique tastes in music and books, I have a hard time finding stuff to get. Most recently I special ordered the Eisley CD to the Christian store. They do not usually distribute it. Much like not distributing DA stuff. Hey, I think it would be great if people could get me DA webstore gift cards or something. I wonder how that would work. Anyway, I am very excited about the possibilities you mentioned. God bless and thanks for all the work you and everyone else do to get DA and the other Terry Taylor creations out there.
