Just got my package today with the t-shirts, DVD, and "Little, Big." I'm on the second listen of the album. "Molly is a Metaphor" (#2) is such a cute song for his cat and musically it's enjoyable and lyrically thought-provoking. The real gem of the six is #4 "Oh, Sweet Companion" (the song for his wife--each track is dedicated to someone or a group of people.) "Oh, Sweet Companion" is musically mature (with great guitar) and the lyrics just make you want to cry or fall in love or both.
I think "Oh, Sweet Companion" for me may come in second as my favorite TST song (the first being "You Lay Down.")
The other songs I'll need to here a few more times to see how they grow on me.
I'll be interested to hear what others think.

Well, when *I* met Molly, she pretty much growled at me. Terry said she's like that with strangers, so I suppose I'm fairly strange. But I laughed when I heard the Metaphor song, cause Molly would have as soon taken my eyes out as anything else.

Because of Cornerstone and Lifefest we are definately
behind on orders.. add to that the Buechner's and
WEWHs shirts... wow.
This week a ton of stuff will go out, we took quite a few
to the post office between fests, but we only had like a
few days.
LITTLE, big is definately worth the wait. Very cool songs.

I brought "LITTLE, big" into work so I could listen to it a zillion more times. Track #6 "maMa'S in tHe DesErT, DAddy'S in thE SKy" is really growing on my and is now a close third to #2 "MOllyiS a MetApHoR." #4 ("oh, SWeeT CoMpaNion") is still the undesputed classic on the EP.
Tracks #1 and #3 remind of TST's earlier work. Not to say that I don't like his old style, but "John Wayne" was my favorite TST album (although I love the imagery and music of "A Briefing for the Ascent"--but musically prefer the style of "John Wayne.") I don't see any Avacado Faultline in this EP.
But the more and more I listen, the more and more I like!

I just received Little, Big, 2 T-shirts, and the DVD, and I'm off work this week. It's gonna be a great week!
