If any of you haven't checked out Lo Fidelity Records , go there NOW and buy all the CDs they offer. There are 4 and they are all EXCELLENT and
best of all,
are you ready for this?
They're all on sale this month!!!!
Terry Scott Taylor: Songs for the Day after Christmas $7 (reg. price: $12)
Derri Daugherty: A Few Unfinished Songs
Long-anticipated solo effort from the voice of the Choir. $7 (reg. price: $12)
Lost Dogs: Green Room Serenade, Part Tour
Live Disc from 1996 tour. $10 (reg. price: $15)
Ten Songs by Adam Again
1988 release available again. $10 (reg. price: $15)
Even better, the owner of LoFidelity Records is a DAmber!!!!
Jeffrey Kotthoff!!!!!!!!
More betterer- he ships really fast so you can get your music fix when you need it!!!!
Seriously, I don't know Jeff personally, but I'm thoroughly impressed with his product, his service and his contribution. I suspect he may need a little more support to continue to offer such bodacious music.

Steve,
Thanks for the kind words, I really appreciate it, you are too kind.
Support for Lo-Fidelity has been good this year. It was a bit rough starting a label in an economic slump, but I have no regrets. The releases have been high quality, the artists have been happy, and people have been (from what I gather) thrilled with the records. So I can't ask for much more. Do I wish that they would have all sold out by now? Sure, but there is more to life than money, and it's been a pleasure serving the bands, not to mention all of you who have forked over your hard earned cash for some music.
So you all know, the Lost Dogs DVD is DONE!! Look for some news very soon on the release date, and all this DVD will have to offer. Seriously, it will blow you away. I can't wait!
all my best,
jeffrey k.

I've got all of 'em, and they were delivered in a flash. All of them have been posted and reviewed at banophernalia.com with the Lofi name next to the artist's name.
Good work.
I wasn't blown away by the Adam Again album, but I did buy it!

Please expound oh dorkish one. At times I found it somewhat like Tim Finn's Big Canoe from 1986. But overall, it just didn't click.
Give me some reasons to go back (again - I played it straight for a couple of weeks) and try and understand this one.

It's the only Adam Again that my wife does not like but it's my personal favorite. The tenth song is the best but they are all good. The whole CD reminds me of The Talking Heads "Stop Making Sense".

It's just one of those things...
It's the first AA album that I listened to, so it has a special place. Kind of like the first DA album (which was the first DA album for me) not everyone thinks it's all that special, but I still wouldn't be without it.
There are a lot of these kinds of albums that bring back memories. And Ten Songs does that for me. I especially like the last 5 songs on the album.
I hope that makes sense...

Okay Dorkness, I agree with you. There are a couple of great tunes. Tenth Song being the best.
When I review an album I go for the overall feel. I have, and still will buy weak albums based on the strength of a couple of songs.
I thought overall that it was okay. I did listen to it a lot. Really.
So I have to ask, is this the best that they did?

10 Songs is kinda lame. Dig is decent. Perfecta is VERY good.

hmmmm....well, if you ask 10 people you'd probably get a different opinion from each (at least from five of them). for me, it's all about "perfecta".

I will agree with Carl that Perfecta is their best.
In a New World of Time - ok, a few good songs
title track the best of the bunch
Ten Songs - Better with more good songs
Eyes Wide Open, The Tenth Song, awesome cover of Ain't no Sunshine, Trouble with Lies
Homeboys - ok
Homeboys, Bad News on The Radio, Occam Razor
I'd have to play this one again, some of the songs escape me right now...
Dig - Very Good
Deep, It Is What It Is, Dig, Hopeless, Worldwide, Walk Between the Raindrops, River of Fire
, So Long
I like all of these songs from Dig! Solid Album all the way around.
so long
i went too far
i went too far
i wanted to tell a joke
i wanted to tell a joke
ha ha
i'm so funny
that joke that i told
ha ha
i climbed that hill
i climbed that hill
i wanted to be on the top
i wanted to see the top
big deal
i'm so tired
that hill that i climbed
big deal
i'm so wrong
and i don't know the reason for his song
but i know how to say
i know how to say
so long
i'm so tender
the way that i say
so long
Perfecta - Not a sleeper in the bunch! the writing on this album is amazing. Gene and the band got tighter with every album and deeper with every song. They were at the top of their game with this album.
I wont list them all, cuz they are all good!
stone
(eugene, lawless, knox, valadez)
there's a lot for me to say
about a hundred ways for me to wrap my words around your face
but it won't do any good
i never really could convince you
that when i said to leave i meant 'please stay'
there i've said it now
too late
it's late, i've got to get up early
hey, i'm dying to get some sleep baby
it seems crazy to me, maybe
i'd like to turn to stone tonight
and try and forget that day that i chased you away baby
will you be comin' home tonight
if i'm sitting in some bar
or driving in my car
i don't really think of you at all
but back here in my room
with the morning coming soon
i roll around and wonder where you are
and where you'd rather be this late
too late, i've got to get up early
hey, i'm dying to get some sleep baby
it seems crazy to me, maybe
i'd love to turn to stone tonight
and try and forget that day, that i lost you
i know what it's like to be alone
will you be comin' home?
it's not my history
this song's not about me at all
just trying to conjure up some fantasy
do you believe me now?
this late
too late, i've got to get up early
hey...
it's me
it's me
are you coming home?
