Daniel Amos Message Board » DA Related Discussion » General Discussion » DAMB cd that BD sent me » Hello Guest [Login|Register] Last Post | First Unread Post Print Page | Add Thread to Favorites Pages (2): [1] 2 next » DAMB cd that BD sent me Author Post « Previous Thread | Next Thread » tchandler Daniel Amos Registration Date: 03-22-2002 Posts: 1,061 DAMB cd that BD sent me        first off, about that silly bit of business that berger roy al posted about how he snuck into my house, chloroformed me and stole the DAMB cd and was listening to it himself and i was unconscious in the back of his pickup truck... the sorry truth is that i stepped outside to get something out of my car and i found berger laying passed out in a fetal position on my lawn, wearing a dress, with a walkman and headphones, with a, um....well, a compilation tape he'd made of various boy-bands, blaring away. he was clutching an empty bottle of Lavoris in both hands. (which one brought the other about?) i tried to help him up and bring him inside. when he came to, he did a forward somersault and ran off, barking. ... (seriously, now) anyway, i listened to both discs of the DAMB recordings you guys did and i swear, i'm not saying this to be polite, i thought it was really great! i won't single anyone out but, you guys achieved something that all so-called professional bands try for but don't always pull off when they cover a song. to me, your project has an overall feel of confidence and comfort and familiarity with each song--you guys sound like you really do like the song, and that you've sung along with it a few times. it has a really true and honest and organic feel to it. it has a certain garage-band-like passion to it, (and that's nothing but compliment, for whatever it's worth.) there were some great ideas, and it was just VERY MUSICAL. thanks for going to all that trouble!
