I have the Maranatha CD's too. And of course No Sense Of History/Shirley, Goodness & Misery.

Those are great - I miss Alternative Records. I think I have everything they put out.

Alternative Records Home Page
Oh yes, only the Discography works if I remember right. The rest is dead.

Nice reading everyone's stories in this thread. I wonder how many DA/Eddies/TST/Dogs fans are out there that just lurk, have not been to this site, or are not online? I know there has to be more than just all of us here. I visited the board here for about 6 months before I posted. I had been going to the DA site for about 1 year before I went to the boards.
The album that turned me on was Alarma, the song was Endless Summer. That was in about 1981. Still have the original tape box and cover, but the tape is long gone.

I was just a punk teenager and trying to listen to music of a x-ian persuasion - with no radio in South FL - it was like playing russian roulette - the album covers often promised more than the vinyl could deliver... (although I did get some gems along the way - Arkangel Warrior comes to mind... the unscheduled reinforcement is a powerful form of behavior modification after all... explains gambling addictions - not that I know anything about that)
Back to 1982 - I saw this very intriguing album cover with these guys with no eyes... and although I was reluctant with bad experiences of buying without hearing - I picked it up from the very first seconds of Central Theme - I knew I had found a gem.. what a different band this was! From Alarma to Big Time to Props - I was still waiting for the other shoe to fall - when were they going to get cliche' - when was I going to be embarrassed by them... but the album just got better and more intriguing - props, my room, faces, cloak & dagger - how great is this!! It was so cool. Ghost of the Heart - what an ending... it freaked me out!
The next day I was back in the bookstore where I bought... music?! Anyway, I had to order Horrendous Disc... I was hooked - aftering hearing the title track... I knew I would buy everything this group ever put out. And I did, I mean I do... buy everything that DA/TST release. Although... I am still looking for their first s/t release on cd and dfbb on cd...

glad you enjoyed my rambling remembrances...
Yeah, saw Kemper @ C-Stone 2002...
Have a couple of bootlegs of him and anxiously awaiting his follow up to the Vigil - some 20+ years later!
