Anyone know of anyone with a multicamera soundboard show?

i recall BD shooting the Pomona show

does this mean i finally get my secret decoder ring uncle terry promised me back in '79 when he told me, "son you look like you need a secret decoder ring. i think i can help you out if you'll just take this bag of freshly printed hundred dollar bills over to the drug store there and ask for a guy named Louie Louie. when he comes out hand him the bag and do what he tells you." so i did and i've been waiting for my ring ever since.

what?

Oh! Mr. Louie told me to go to this place called Solid Rock Records and tell a certain Norman Norman, "we got the dough, hand over the vinyl." So I did. I figured it was some luxury vinyl flooring for a mansion or something. Ever heard of it?

it's a shame the business is rife with flakes, and they can't all blame their "artistic temperment". thank you audiori-sans for taking care of the fellers in so many ways.

HD has its place historically but DHSTA is another level of achievement for this band, to me it is their best album ever and needs more publicity. I hope the release of the video can spawn a whole new exposure, appreciation and distribution of this marvelous work resulting in a well deserved nice fat pay check for everybody involved.

all in favor of thinking how we can expand their exposure and income, maybe some event(s) in conjunction with a release of the DHSTA video still to come out.

speaking of "Dig" did the "making of" video gain traction? i heard Berger crashed the mastering session and they had to get all the singers for The Sun Shines on Everyone to redo their takes. When they did Berger disguised himself as Jack Nicholson and sang along. If you listen real close, you can hear a choking cough from when he ingested his 4th dose of Windex. They edited out almost all of it.

One aspect of it that kept drawing me back time and again, but which doesn't really get a lot of comment, was the musical humor. Certainly, DA had indulged in manic high-concept wackiness on prior releases ('Autographs for the Sick' or 'Dance Stop!'), but there is nothing on DFBB which derives its humor primarily from anything lyrical or conceptual. Nevertheless, there are a whole lot of jokes on the record, in the musical arrangements and production touches.

David Edwards once made a comment in the liner notes to one of his albums about "how to tell a joke with a saxophone." There's a lot of that spirit deep in the grooves of DFBB. It offsets the seriousness of the lyrics nicely, I think. Cool

Anyway, just thought I'd throw that out there. Carry on.

besides having a chronic case of atrophic-dimwittedness (ADWD), my sense of humor is all in my mouth... ok, that did not come out right, anyway what sort of humourous episodes do you find there? i look to learn me something.
