L. Bangs as in Lester Bangs? I remember reading his stuff in Creem as a teenager. Hard to imagine Bangs on dadl. Didn't he die back in the 80s,
drug related? Great, great writer, for the genre.

My wife and I saw Bill early this year in a 'house concert' setting. I defy any of the VOL naysayers to experience the man's music that way and not come away a fan. I prepaid for the new project (and the Buddy and Julie Miller ep that is supposed to come with it) and I'm really looking forward to hearing it. River of Love, Solar System and Resplendent are my personal fave tracks.

You guys are right, it's a great, great design. It's the DFBB of band web pages. It is way, way, way better than this page ! Now that is a very bad web page design.

Audiori,
I'm using an IBM laptop with 1024x768 display resolution and Internet Explorer 5.5. The main text with the blueish background has a scroll bar
so if I want to see the tour dates I have to scroll down. Of course the natural inclination is to use the standard scroll bar on the IE window but that only shows me a little more of the page. I have to use the 'inner' scroll bar which is a bit of a pain. I've never seen another page designed like this and i've been web browsing since the early 90's. I'm sure you did it so that the horizontal menu would stay in the same place.

It's been several months since I checked the site and board. When was the design overhaul done on the DA site? Looks like a definite step backwards in appearance and usability to me. The scroll bar is particularly irritating. Yuck.

I did a mix cd project for my sister in laws wedding shower awhile back and
the burning software I used had some wav editing features. I boosted the volume on some of the tracks that were real low. I don't think it was that hard. I don't have a copy of DFBB anymore so if you'd be so kind as to send me yours for my experiments...

Well TST does mention the phrase 'New World Order' in a song or two.
The Kalhoun album cover says it, but in German, I think. I'll admit a pretty tenous connection.

Joe - Tory Notion's idea of return postage with mailer envelope (SASE) would work and I would do it, if it's OK with you. If people are willing to send the disks, (2 are needed for theBQ), the mailer, self-addressed, with postage I'd burn the disks. ( I'll just print out the track listing). |

OK. If you sent it to the store address (which is the correct address), we won't see it until later this evening most likely. Our store computer died last night while trying to get caught up on email. It just froze up and would no longer boot. We're rebuilding the store machine from old parts... so far its working better than the old store computer ever did - but we still have to install a ton of crap before we can get back to work on store related stuff. |

This is the second time i've heard about this 'buy the cd/download the ep' deal. I have YHF but I can't find any info re: this. Do you remember what the web page is?
