Thread: Neverhood with Windows XP? |

Getting a new PC tomorrow with Windows XP. I heard that the Neverhood will not run in XP without some kind of patch or something. What do I need and how do I get it?

I don't like the commercialism either. We are using stills from the movie in our PowerPoint at church and I asked where they got them. I was told they BOUGHT them from a website. Unbelievable! Remember the Prayer of Jabez craze and the marketing that went with it. Anything to make a buck.

We saw the movie on friday night at 7pm. Arrived 15 minutes early and the theater was 50% full. By showtime it was 80% full. They are showing it on 4 different screens to accomodate us in the Bible belt.
We are Methodist and when my wife heard that Mel based it more on the 14 stations of the cross (never heard of it), she borrowed a book from a Catholic friend to help her understand, Veronica, etc.
I thought that the violence might have been so extreme since maybe Mel was trying to prove a point. All other Jesus movies have been "pretty". Or maybe he did think it was that violent? The devil scenes seemed a bit Hollywood and a little out of place for me also.
My 12 year old daughter is bummed that we are not letting her go, but I think it would be too much for her at this age.

I love the show also. It is one of 2 network shows we watch (ER is the other). Just don't have that much free time.
Interesting tidbit - the actress that plays Joan is Agnostic and not a Christian. Kind of blew it for me a bit.

I doubt I was wearing a striped polo shirt. I was the only one in my high school that was "hip". I had the skinny ties you know
Probably had a T-shirt on.
Actually, I was out of school in 1984 (or 95) when I saw them in Iowa. There was a snowstorm that night and we drove 2 hours to see them. Almost cancelled the show since only about 30 people showed up. It was great, almost like a bar setting since so few people. I even have the MTV jacket that my wife and I won when they did a drawing. We had only been married a couple of years and my wife was then convinced I was DA nuts since I braved the elements and roads to get there.

I did receive mine finally and was very pleased. Both the audio and video were better than I was expecting. Brought back memories from the only time I was able to see the guys live back around the same time period.
I hope we can get a recent 77's and DA DVD someday not too far off. Love my Lost Dogs too (thanks BD).

Ok, will do that. I did email a couple times and you responded this past weekend. I'll just pop my user-id with a new email.

Actually the original Alarm did reunite for a special on VH1 that is airing soon (I think). I'm on the Alarm Yahoo mailing list and I saw it in the past week. They perform 6-7 songs on the special.
This could be a real reunion concert which would be pretty cool. Just speculation though.

I'm wondering too. I still haven't received mine yet. I haven't received a reply either from the webstore "order" status form that I submitted.
I ordered mine Dec 12th.

Well mine still didn't come. Was hoping for Christmas for the wife. We saw them on that tour. I figured Dec 12 was early enough. I'll just keep parked by the mailbox.

Yeah, that CD must be cursed. It took me at least 2 months to get my copy. The first one got lost in the mail.

Still nothing in my mailbox. I even waited this time until they got the product in their hands before I ordered. I'd had enough of the pre-order business in the past. Some have better luck than others. I'm one of the unlucky when it comes to ordering from the webstore.

So if I ordered my DVD last week (Dec 12th), does that mean it has shipped out?
