this was a fantastic show!! mike, terry & derri sounded EXCELLENT.
they had a really good turn-out -- the place was packed.
(mike and terri joked that the reason so many people came to this one was that derri was there and derri has "teen appeal". derri was like, "yeah... that's what i'm going for: teen appeal 
")
and the venue was super nice, too. the kirks have a lovely house, and the sound quality was better than i've heard at some 'professional' venues.
anyway, it was a ball

um... well, i ran 40 participants in my experiment. i went to a social psych meeting & listened to our newest prof tell us all about his research -- interesting stuff! my sister sent me a package with lots of cool presents (she got all my other siblings to contribute $, but *she* picked out the presents -- it's a good system). my old advisor emailed me and told me that a paper we submitted for publication was accepted (yay!). and my roommate cooked me the best chicken parmigian i've tasted in a long time.
so.....
no cake.
but a really, very nice birthday.
btw woggy, have you noticed that nic cage is in a new movie - Matchstick Men? i haven't seen it yet, but i've heard really good things about it...

...hey kids
fun to read about the great time some of you had at cstone this year
instead of going to cstone last week, i had to move to florida. i've been working very hard at not thinking about how depressing that trade-off was. (yep, it's all about repression.)
i did order the dogs DVD, though... can't wait to see it!!!
