  DaMB Update

To update the Messageboard, which will give better security
and more options, we need to dump some threads.
It just crashes the update program when there is 145,000
posts or whatever.
We figured we would dump the dump first, then any really
old threads in some of the other sections.

We kinda had an idea to empty the dump like once a month
anyway, been thinking about that for a while.

If there is any really special threads you want
held, post the name of the thread here please.

How about keeping some of the most recent threads inthe dump? That way discussions that are current can be continued.

Flush anything older than... 2 weeks??? - unless there are some special threads...

So what will this do to our posting figures???

Is there any way to keep the post totals when you dump a thread?

Some people have worked hard to keep their totals up. Not me of course, I was thinking of Mark and Baxter.






Of course if you did random dumps of threads then post totals have no meanings and we may not post as much.





Just keep every thread that I started.

OK. Update finally finished... pretty much.

That was a real pain in the butt. We're still "cleaning it up" a
little... theres a lot of "garbage" on the screen right now and
I'm not sure how much of it is necessary. We're also still working
on color, logos, etc.

If you had the old board bookmarked... you need to reload
it from the menu at the left and redo your bookmark. The
board is at a new location now.
