Without the requirement to have loopable song patterns, such as what necessitated the original Neverhood tracks, would there be a reason to expect these tracks may be a little more song-like in the traditional sense?

Posted by audiori on 07-20-2012 at02:19:

I believe so... I haven't heard every song yet, but from what I've always understood - it's more of an "album" than a soundtrack (although we are sometimes calling it that). It does tie into the comic a lot however.

We went ahead and set it up for orders... its in the manufacturing stage. Each element has to be printed separately (book, CD) but I don't expect it to be too long before it starts shipping. We just wanted people to be able to reserve their copy if they want to.

An announcement will go out tomorrow... so you're all hearing it here first.

Will purchase come the new month.

I want to do this right now, unfortunately, I think it will have to wait until my family and I are through the summer months as August is a little thin financially for us. . . As soon as I get my first paycheck from coaching I will make this purchase! I long for new sweet music of the nerverhood variety!

Wasn't sure if the guys would be selling at next week's Lost Dogs concert at Dean & Tami's basement-o-sound so I ordered mine today. Looking forward to seeing how Terry rocks a comic book.

Posted by audiori on 07-22-2012 at14:08:

It probably won't be at the early shows... maybe later in the tour, but I doubt it'll get to them quick enough for the early shows.

This looks so cool. I think the Grammy's need to get their hands on this for a packaging award.

Posted by DwDunphy on 07-29-2012 at12:44:

When it is ready, I'll definitely be picking this up.

Posted by audiori on 07-29-2012 at16:39:

Not everyone can order early - thats fine. We just wanted to make it available for those that could and it gets a little money in Terry's pocket in advance.

The CDs should be done pretty soon. The book is a little slower, but primarily because they're trying to get it done exactly right. The printers are being good about letting us know if there are any potential printing issues and how to avoid them.

Posted by audiori on 08-09-2012 at19:32:

Forgot to mention before that the proofs for the book look great. Very high quality paper... good cardstock cover... the printer is doing a nice job.

Everyone seems pumped about the new DA album, as am I (!), but I am really excited about this new project as well. New music from Terry, and a story in comic form to boot. It'll be interesting to find out more.

Posted by audiori on 08-21-2012 at20:33:

The CDs arrived today and look and sound great. They're ready to be inserted into the books once they arrive... shouldn't be too much longer.

How much interest would there be in a limited edition signed and numbered copy? (autographed by bother Terry and Doug TenNapel)? (Current preorderers would be allowed to upgrade if they wanted to of course).

This isn't a done deal yet, but we were throwing the idea around and might see if we can get the fellas to dig out some Sharpies.

Posted by brdhsnyrsoul on 08-22-2012 at22:47:

  signed edition

That would be a nice thing - if I hadn't just done the kickstarter thing for the upcoming DA - if the price wouldn't go up too much - if if if

Posted by audiori on 08-23-2012 at13:14:

Oh I know... it seems like everything is coming together all at once. theres more on the way. also - I finally got a solid ETA from the printers. the books should start shipping the weekend of sept 8.

Posted by lobo1023 on 08-23-2012 at14:30:

I'd be interested in the signed edition. Anything to help the band and enable them to keep going. You can e-mail me what you're thinking about as an upgrade price if you aren't ready for putting it out there. thanks daysofnoah@comcast.net
