I don't know if I'd consider it a "musical joke," but the weird timing involves the guitars being played in 7/8 while the drums basically keep going in 4/4. As a fan of strange rhythms, I consider "Safety" to be one of my favorite DA musical moments.

Safety Net was played live at least once...quite a challenge to do from what I read.
