Yeah, Chris Christian owns all of the Home Sweet Home stuff - Ashes and Light, Eye of the Storm, Victims of the Age, Mosaics, and Stop the Dominoes.

We did work with Fingerprint on a couple of things years ago... and we also worked it out with Christian once to sell a few hundred of the HSW Heard CDs and every penny went to Janet Heard. But, we never once asked him about what it would cost to license one of the albums. I have no idea how costly that might be.

Larry does own "Appalachian Melody".. not sure what the chances are of him letting Fingerprint or someone like that help with its release. It seems like there is a lot of friction between him and the Fingerprint folks...

It would have been super cool if he would do something like this with the Mark Heard recordings as well. (You Audioris have worked on some Heard titles in the past, rigth ? Wink )

Yea they arnt called Audioris for nothing! Big Grin

Sorry for taking this thread off topic. I' m just a little kid that recently have discoverd Mark Hard, but most of his catalog seems to be unavalible for the public.... Frown

  Adjusting...

>>"Add to that the fact that Tom and Eve just had a baby.. we don't want to push Tom too much on the artwork and packaging at that time. I'm sure they'll need a little time to "adjust.""

...Hmmm, well that will be in about 18 years.

*snickers*

It seems appropriate that we should have to wait a bit more for this release. Roll Eyes

Just so long as it's not 3 years. Tongue

It'll be out soon enough.

For those of you that have been following this...

It now looks like Larry is pulling out of the deal so we'll have to do it without him. I'm not sure exactly what the reasons are. He's upset about some documentary that someone is making about him... so maybe he's just not in a good mood at the moment. The contracts were finalized, but he ended up losing our copies and the deadline passed before he bothered to get us another copy.. now he's upset about the film and doesn't seem to want to talk about anything else (even though we have nothing to do with the film).

So... it looks like we're shifting back to a "Horrendous Disc Sessions" collection. Should still be very cool.

Oh well. It may turn out better without him. Big Grin

Yeah, we figured that was the likely conclusion of the entire thing... but, we really did hope he'd go along with it - especially after working for months on a contract. its a shame... it would have been good for everyone involved.

will it be any easier after Larry kicks the bucket, I wonder?

Posted by .backs. on 07-18-2007 at12:52:

After touring Europe, Larry is more likely to kick your hiney than any bucket.

Posted by Mountain Fan on 07-18-2007 at14:28:

didn't he have heart problems and a big story to go along with it not very long ago?

Posted by Mountain Fan on 07-18-2007 at14:28:

speaking of kicking the bucket, is anything happening on the KMG front after Buddy Killen's death?
