Mr. C, if you're still in Nashville, are you seeing much of Terry? You might have heard he's entertaining the possibility of a new Eddies recording, so I wondered if you might be part.

Oh... wait. That's that crazy Windex guy, isn't it? Never mind...

  ahem

Oh, ah, er, Berger, if you're listening, please ignore that crazy part. Nothing personal...

Posted by tchandler on 02-23-2004 at12:55:

hey, john. terry hasn't been through nashville for quite awhile. and i haven't spoken to him about the eddies thing, but berger possibly has.

jiminy, yes, i've listened through MNF at least twice. i haven't posted anything yet because i'm assuming that when i say i really enjoyed it, some (or most?) are going to think i'm just saying that to be kind. and the other issue is that i just don't want to single anyone out and end up hurting someone's feelings.

it's hard enough to have the guts to get up and do it in the first place. i don't want someone feeling bad because they weren't mentioned.

and... I REALLY, HONESTLY, THOROUGHLY ENJOYED IT! hearing how someone else interprets a song is extremely interesting. you guys made me feel really nostalgic, thinking back on some of those recording sessions.

Tim-
thx - we will ALL take that blanket compliment to include everyone.

I only know what my ear likes- and there are some purty ear liftin (and splittin) moments!

I appreciate your comment- and am sure I'm not alone in that.

To have it bring things back to mind fer you is too cool in itself!

Hey Tim, What is your favorite Replacements song and / or record?

Posted by tchandler on 02-23-2004 at13:13:

i liked the first one but this one really sounded (overall) like a step up. a lot of very creative ideas in how to approach the songs.

Posted by Berger Roy Al on 02-23-2004 at13:15:

Hey Chandler, stop sucking up!! You're makin' me sick.

That's OK, Tim....

....I'm not on this one anyway. Big Grin

oh just be quiet, berger. don't make me shut you down. you know i can do it.

dale -- there's usually not that much of an actual story to the process. just a lot of goofing around. but let me think about it. it's just been awhile.

sprinklerhead-- man don't get me started about the replacements. i really like "let it be" "tim" and "pleased to meet me." that general era. i really liked "you be me" but i wasn't crazy about that whole record. and i thought "all shook down" (even though the others weren't that involved) was an incredibly under-rated album. how about you? what's your favorite?

I loved all of those too. Each one would be a favorite depending on what day you ask me. Today, it would probably be "pleased to meet me". That is a great album. It has some of my all time favorites - "The Ledge", "Nightcub Jitters", "Skyway", "Can't Hardly Wait", etc.

No, I just have "14 Songs". I only liked some of it. Is "mono/stereo" better? What about Chris Mars "75% less fat"? Do you know if that one is any good?

Posted by tchandler on 02-23-2004 at13:33:

just ignore him, folks. (berger, that is.) that's what i do.

sprinklerhead -- i thought "mono/stereo" was a lot better. i haven't heard any of chris mars' stuff.
