  Fearful Symmetry

I know I'm gonna get a lot of flack for suggesting this because everybody (Including me) is waiting for the re-issue of DFBB and Let's Spin as well as Outdoor Elvis, but I really want to fill the Fearful Symmetry spot in my CD case. Vox Humana does not like sitting next to Kalhoun. It wants Fearful Symmetry. Yes, I know it was re-released on the Alarma book set and I do have the book set but I need the artwork. I often wonder why Terry doesn't like Fearful Symmertry. It is an amazing album!!! Is there ever going to be a chance that you will re-release it??? As for DFBB, Hurry up, please! Kalhoun is tired of sitting by Vox Humana.

Vox Humana next to Kalhoun!! NEVER!!! I suggest you put an empty jewel box between those two, they are not allowed to touch each other.

Fearful Symmetry is one of the best albums and the artwork is great!!!! How can Terry not like it? It has "The Pool," "Neverland Ballroom," and "Instruction Thru Film!" Those songs rock!!

My Cd collection is missing

The orginal one
Alarma
Vox Humana
Fearful Symmetry
Darn Floor big Bite
Motorcycle Tracks
Scenic Routes
Pray Where you are single
Lets Spin
Outdoor Elvis
Spittle & Phlem DVD (have the vhs though)

But I have something you all don't have.....

When Shotgun Angel was put up on mp3.com you could buy the mp3.com album -so I did. There was however a hiccup in that the mp3.com web page hadn't been programmed to say the SA tracks were on the SA mp3.com disk. So I got a CD that has the SA cover but only has one song on it. Mall All Over The World.

nya nya nya-nya nya

i have something you don't have

if i remember correctly....

it wasn't about the songs...but the way they were done. i could be wrong .

notice the version of "the pool" on "the miracle faith telethon". and i quote: "stripped of keyboards and extaraneous sounds, and re-recorded with greater emphasis on guitar, this version of "the pool" more accurately captures the feel of a live da concert".

But the original recording of "The Pool" is what I like the most. So why doesn't he re-do the album like he did for SotH? That would rock!! I'd love an acoustic Pool!

I really like FS and VH but I would love to see both those CDs re-done ass-kicking rock-n-roll style!

did you ever notice that Terry's vocals on "I'm on your team" sound a lot like Dr. Edward Daniel Taylor? Big Grin

Posted by BigDork on 08-07-2002 at18:47:

Yes I did notice that!

I played that whole album the other day! It's still pretty dern funny after all the times I've heard it.

All four of the Alarma Chronicles have their own sound. I believe this was for a reason...a brilliant reason. Another good explanation is on the Reviews page. It's the Dallas.com article. It's very long, but good.

That's why I had trouble with DA through those years...not huge fan, but still knew I should like them.Smile )

But now the albums make more sense to me, I get much more out of them than I did when they were new.

I just look at that bookset and am blown away by how good it is. I used to not care for DG so much, but it's so good, and so smart. Terry's writing just blows my mind!

It really is amazing how brilliant the Alarma Chronicles are. I have always really liked Doppelganger. I think some of the second side drives my wife crazy. I don't think she gets it.
